Saugerties Public Library
The Saugerties Public Library needed to raise the identity of the library before asking the public to vote on a $6.9 million referendum. The analysis of the SWOT sessions found that the library was important to the town, but the town’s recreational activities proved to be more important.
The strategy: Incorporate the notion of recreation and make it an integral part of the library.
A new logo and tagline were created.
The Rebranding Campaign was set into motion.

The new brand followed through the Building Referendum Campaign with direct mail postcards, print ads, website, bandwagon brochure and more. Click here to a view pdf of the entire campaign package.

The outcome: 2,084 people voted on May 7th, 2008. 1272 voted yes, 812 voted no.
The library won its referendum with 63.8% of the vote.
